I’v been a fan of Bellucci ever since I saw her in “UNDER SUSPICIAN” But, then again, what perfectly good male didn’t ask “Who is she?” after landing eyes on her in thier first experience on the screen with her?
Irreversible was one of those “FRENCH” movies that we Americans don’t really care for, unless of course your a turtleneck wearing nanny that drinks wine with one pinky in the air! However, In my thirst for more and more of Bellucci, I began to relize that she wasn’t shy about showing her body in some of the other films that she had done, and Irreverisble was one of those movies. And hey, it’s got a rape scene with her getting banged!! What’s not to like about that huh, almost a bit of porn with the likes of Monica………..NOT!!
While I will admit a bit of arousal seeing her dance at the party, then take off in an underground subway tunnel, of course with the thought that it might be nice to see something like that coming toward you alone at 3am in the moring, especailly if she’s been drinking, but anyway, admittingly being aroused as I could feel the rape scene nearing, I was finally horrified at the graphic detail, and nearly vomited before it was over! How and why would the likes of Monica Bellucci do this in a movie?
I was actually more shocked to find out that they actually “ACTED” out the rape scene, because since I’ve never seen nor committed rape, this was a surreal experience to watch, let alone that it was only acting! How does a guy act toward an actress after he’s just practically done the real dead? Did they just get up and smile at one another with an affirming nod……..”Great Job Monica” “Hey you too, it almost felt like you did penetrate me with that hand, did you?”….. “Yeah, had to, I might not ever get a sex scene with ya again”
I understand the “SHOCK” value that Noe brings to the audience, but let’s face it, even the onlookers at CANNES practically vomited, as a matter of a fact two people did! Noe has outdone himself, and is it any wonder that no one here in the states has heard of him, even the biggest movie goers! I’m sure the film will be studied for years to come at film schools, which it should, for what not to do to obscure your carreer as an artist. Because, if rape is art, then why don’t we all go out and grab the one hot ass girl we alway’s wanted, force to suck us off, analy rape her, and leave a creampie in her twat, and we can just that is was “ART”
