Download PDF Microsoft has released the final version of Windows Defender, the Free AntiSpyware from Microsoft.
Windows Defender is free but requires a WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) Validation check.
This tutorial will guide you how to install Windows Defender Final bypassing WGA validation check. (beacuse at times WGA check fails even if your windows is licenced)
Here is how you can install Windows Defender Final bypassing WGA validation:
Step 1:
Download Windows Defender Final directly from the Microsoft site:
Download Windows Defender Final 32-bit
Download Windows Defender Final 64-bit
Step 2:
Download Orca (a .msi package editor) from here:
Download Orca
Install It.
Step 3:
Open the downloaded WindowsDefender.msi file with Orca.
Step 4:
In the Orca’s left pane, click on CustomAction.
Step 5:
Click on CHECK_WGA.
Right click on CHECK_WGA and select Drop Row.
Step 6:
Again on the left pane click on Dialog.
Step 7:
Click on CheckWGA.
Double click on the Attribute value.
Change the value from 2 to 0.
Step 8:
Save it. (File > Save)
NOTE: DO NOT use Save As…
Step 9:
Install Windows Defender with the saved WindowsDefender.msi file.

you guys do such good work, I really appreciate it. I did have a real windows xp I paid for, but ms said it wasn’t valid! anyway, I was wondering, how do I turn on updates? Please tell me step by step, as I’m no computer genius like you guys are.

Umm…Hi, nice to see the screenshot rich step-by-step cracking done with a little bit of creativity. But was this purely an idea of yours? If not perhaps you should accredit the original author :) I know I did that, because its a part of the blogger code.
The second thing is…thanks for your comment on my post, but as my title described it to be “Download,crack and use Windows Defender…the fun and educational way”, I wasn’t exactly preaching malicious cracking techniques to the common mass. Instead I was just pointing out that MS needs to get their guard up, otherwise even noobs like us will be able to infiltrate their software registration procedure.

i have a pirated edition of windows.So i would like to know what happens when i activate automatic updates.in case a wga check is present in such updates, is there any way in bypassing them?

How do I uninstall the old WindowsDefender.
When trying to install updates or new WindowsDefender, I get a message that it needs WindowsDefender.msi to uninstall the old version.
Can anyone help?
