Getting error code 81000306 while trying to sign-in on MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger?
Here is how the error report looks like:

To solve the error follow the following steps:
1. Go to Start > Run

2. Type the following:
regsvr32 Softpub.dll Mssip32.dll Initpki.dll

3. Click on the OK button.
You should now be able to sign-in to your msn messemger or windows live messenger.
Regsrv32 is a command-line tool registers .dll files as command components in the registry. More information on the Regsrv32 command can be found here.

I log into messenger via wireless router no problem…but with network cable…no ways

respected sir i tried my best to log on through hotmail messenger but it could not establish bcs it say that u r not connected but i tryied my best i conected again again but failed plz solved my problem my password is sultania

regsvr32 Softpub.dll Mssip32.dll Initpki.dll didn’t work. Can you tell me why. The TroubleShoot tool find no errors and shows all test results OK.

Does not work. Does not seem to have worked for anyone posting here. Thanks so much for nothing. Perhaps you could include a link here to a solution that actually fixes the problem. That might be helpful. Please consider it.

i tried to follow your instructions but lastly it gives me a note that dllregisterserver in softpub.dllsucceeded followed by dllregisterserver in Mssip32.dll succeeded and lastly it says the module initpki.dll failed to load,I dont know what to do.

I tried it too but it still hasn’t fixed my error. I had this problem on another laptop and had to run several commands all ending in .dll one after the other - there were more entries to run than yours - my problem is I cannot find that website again…..this is so annoying!!!

Yer ‘FIX’ doesn’t work. Maybe if I bought yer ‘Registry Fixer’ …. NOT! Is this called “Bait & Switch? Thanks for nuth’n.
