Getting error code 81000306 while trying to sign-in on MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger?
Here is how the error report looks like:

To solve the error follow the following steps:
1. Go to Start > Run

2. Type the following:
regsvr32 Softpub.dll Mssip32.dll Initpki.dll

3. Click on the OK button.
You should now be able to sign-in to your msn messemger or windows live messenger.
Regsrv32 is a command-line tool registers .dll files as command components in the registry. More information on the Regsrv32 command can be found here.

XP:
Step 1:
Please click on Start, Click on Run and type the following in the open box and click OK
ipconfig/flushdns
Step 2:
Please click on Start, Click on Run and type the following in the open box and click OK
netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
Step 3: Reset Winsock:
Please click on Start, Click on Run and type the following in the open box and click OK
netsh winsock reset
Step 4:
Please click on Start, Click on Run and type the following in the open box and click OK
ipconfig /registerdns
If Vista, please try this steps:
- Click start
- Type: cmd
- Right-click cmd.exe when it appears under Applications
- Click Run As Administrator
- Type the following: netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
- Press enter
- Restart your computer
You may also try:
Start Messenger.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Under Connection, click Advanced Settings.
Delete the entries under SOCKS.
Click OK, and then click OK again.

This is now the FOURTH time this same ‘cure’ has been sent to me. Yo folks, it didn’t work in March,September, November and now December what makes you think it works?! And what’s with all these ‘ads by goofy”? I ‘thought’ this site was for ‘fix’n problems, NOT ‘goofy’ ads. Still … a TOTAL disappointment.

i have facing a problem when i try to sign in in my msn messanger it pup a dialog box which says erorr code 8100306 so would you please find a solution for this matter.

I get a
initpki.dll failed to load.
make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent.dll files.
I have no clue what that means or what I can do to fix it..any ideas?
