Getting error code 81000306 while trying to sign-in on MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger?
Here is how the error report looks like:

To solve the error follow the following steps:
1. Go to Start > Run

2. Type the following:
regsvr32 Softpub.dll Mssip32.dll Initpki.dll

3. Click on the OK button.
You should now be able to sign-in to your msn messemger or windows live messenger.
Regsrv32 is a command-line tool registers .dll files as command components in the registry. More information on the Regsrv32 command can be found here.

ya i tryed this step didnt work still doing the same thing… iv been on every help site i could find in the last couple hours and tryed everything it asked me to do but yet nothing has helped can some one plz lend a hand lol

I tried the three (3) EASY STEPS.Followed them to the letter and i’m still NOT able to sign into my windows messenger.

it never worked it myt be cuz i ave got vista is there another way of doing it plz i have been trying for ages it was working yesterday:(

at first it didnt work…..but then a few mins later it poped up again sayin it wa workin…tried msn and it worked!….cheers this :)
after 3hrs or tryin lol y dint sum1 think of this in 1st place!

Thank you, worked perfectly, and people that are cursing all the time, the error messages can be caused for many reasons, so this is a fix to ONE of the reasons. So I suggest you stfu.
