:s this actually worked for me, but im not sure if it actually did. the error code came up before and when i tried again it jst let me log in, so maybe thats just what has happened this time? but it seemed to work?

does not work at all! still back at first error code. it seems that some firewalls just “remember” to negate some specific access (the same live messenger allows me to login with different account but never with a specific one returning always the same error code!)

Im on vista, had the same problem. Tried everything. Then changed my anti virus
