Download PDF Are you unable to install Windows Live Messenger 8.5 Beta (MSN Messenger 8.5)?
Do your installation gets stuck at “Please wait a few moments while we get your computer ready for the installation…” ? The installer disappears and does not continue after this screen?
You can proceed with the following:
Make sure you have “show hidden files” set on your system.
You can set it by going to “View > Folder Options”
And select “Show hidden files and folders”
If you are on Windows Vista, browse to:
C:/ProgramData
And if you are on Windows XP, browse to:
C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data
Now delete the folders WindowsLiveInstaller and WLInstaller.
Run the installer again and everything should work fine.

hi..
can you please help me so i can download that program that fix errors vlm 8.5 fore windows livw messages 8.5 problem fix???
i would have been realy nice if i had that program installed to my laptop sicne there is times where the windows live messenger dont do as it should and have to closed…that is realy enoing…
u wold be happy fore any downloads from you
oh..maybe i should tell you what my pc is using fore a program…hihi…it is windows xp home

This hasn’t worked for me, I’ve even followed instructions from their website, nothing, I’ve emailed them so now I’m waiting for a reply, any suggestions in the mean time?

Hey guys I got it though with the help pf this site or page um but yeah If it doesnt work to you try doing all this page says though sometimes like me instead of going to application data go to Programs Data or something like that there is another folder besides Application Data and I think its hidden so look inside and there you find this two Installers you must delte and thats all well it worked for me so I think it will work for you see ya and thanks a lot

i got a different problem
whenever i go aND istall WLM 8.5 it says that
u cannot istall this version coz this progam requires a different window version…
and guess wat i got xp on my pc but still it says like this…..
plzzzz i need ur help…

When it says your windows version is incorrect I believe it means You need SP2 for WinXP.

Hi i am trying to download msn 8.5 when installed it shows that the sign in assistant is “done” but when it moves onto messenger the green bar is completely filled except for a tiny bit at the end, it does not finish downloading. I have tried to do the above but i cannot find these files, even after searching for the file, please help its annoying because i cant use msn 7.5 because i need to download the “newer version”, 8.0 doesn’t install on my computer, and now 8.5 isn’t working, please help.

I cannot sign in my MSN I have the wlmlite_8_0_812-msgshit.exe version and it is saying i need to download the new version however I cannot download anything on my computer becuz i am at work and they have put restrictions on it …so I cannot download anything on my computer. Please help me ?!?!?!!??!?!!?
