Open a <strong>conversation window<\/strong> with any contact. <\/p>\n<p>2. Type <strong>\/xcolornick<\/strong> and press <strong>Enter<\/strong> or click <strong>Send<\/strong>. This command is also available in the Plus! menu, Plugins, ColorNick v2, Create a colored nickname.<br \/>\nYou can specify the nickname to use after &#8220;\/xcolornick&#8221; (be sure to type a space after this command). For example: <strong>\/xcolornick New nickname<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<!--adsense#LeftSkyscraper--><br \/>\n3. ColorNick&#8217;s main window should appear (if it doesn&#8217;t, see below):<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/perso.wanadoo.fr\/mithrandir\/cn_main_en.jpg\" alt=\"msn color nick\" \/><\/p>\n<p>4. Type the nickname, color and format it, then click <strong>OK<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>If you often use the same color\/gradient for your nickname or your messages, you can save this setting with the Auto-coloration feature. Instead of choosing a color in ColorNick&#8217;s main window every time, the saved color is automatically applied and the window doesn&#8217;t appear when typing \/xcolornick or \/xcolortext.<\/p>\n<p>Configuration:<br \/>\n1. Open ColorNick&#8217;s Preferences window ; to do that you can:<br \/>\n&#8211; click the Plus! menu, Preferences in the contact list, click Plugins on the left, then ColorNick v2 and Configure.<br \/>\n&#8211; click the Plus! menu, Plugins, ColorNick v2, Configure in any conversation window.<br \/>\n&#8211; type \/xcolornickcfg and press Enter or click Send in any conversation window. <\/p>\n<p>2. Check the Nickname and\/or Text checkbox at the top of the window and choose your settings below for each tab. <\/p>\n<p>3. Click Close.<\/p>\n<p>How to use:<br \/>\n1. Open a conversation window with any contact. <\/p>\n<p>2. Type \/xcolornick New Nickname, where &#8220;New Nickname&#8221; must be replaced with the nickname to color with previously saved colors, and press Enter or click Send. <\/p>\n<p>3. For your messages, do the same with \/xcolortext Message To Send.<br \/>\n<!--adsense--><\/p>\n<p>You can use Messenger Plus! keyboard shortcuts to format your nickname\/text when typing it in the conversation window ; they affect characters following them.<\/p>\n<p>CTRL+B = bold<br \/>\nCTRL+T = italic<br \/>\nCTRL+U = underlined<br \/>\nCTRL+S = struck-out<br \/>\nCTRL+R = show panel to select format<\/p>\n<p>However if you want to disable this Auto-coloration feature do following:<br \/>\n1. Open ColorNick&#8217;s Preferences window ; to do that you can:<br \/>\n&#8211; click the Plus! menu, Preferences in the contact list, click Plugins on the left, then ColorNick v2 and Configure.<br \/>\n&#8211; click the Plus! menu, Plugins, ColorNick v2, Configure in any conversation window.<br \/>\n&#8211; type \/xcolornickcfg and press Enter or click Send in any conversation window. <\/p>\n<p>2.
