Sequential thumbnail means it will autometically take screenshots from a video after some interval and scale them to a smaller size. <\/p>\n<p>Our result will have a single image page containing several thumbnails or screenshots from a video. A great thing if you are sharing a video. People always wants to see what is in a video before they download it.<\/p>\n<p>First we need to install a free software (open source) called <strong>Media Player Classic<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Download:<br \/>\n<!--adsense#HalfBanner--><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/prdownloads.sourceforge.net\/guliverkli\/mpc2kxp6490.zip?download\">Media Player Classic for Windows XP and Windows 2000<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/prdownloads.sourceforge.net\/guliverkli\/mpc98me6490.zip?download\">Media Player Classic for Windows ME and Windows 98<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The software doesnt even need any installation. Simply extract the .zip and run the <strong>mplayerc.exe<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image379\" alt=\"Video Thumbnails - mplayerc.exe\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dotcomunderground.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/09\/video-thumbnails-mplayerc-exe.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This brings up the Media Player Classic.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image380\" alt=\"Media Player Classic\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dotcomunderground.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/09\/media-player-classic.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now lets open our video file. Click on <strong>File > Quick Open File&#8230;<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image381\" alt=\"Video Thumbnail - Quick Open File\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dotcomunderground.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/09\/video-thumbnail-quick-open-file.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Browse to the file and open it.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image382\" alt=\"Media Player Classic Open File\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dotcomunderground.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/09\/media-player-classic-open-file.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now click on <strong>File > Save Thumbnails&#8230;<\/strong><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image383\" alt=\"Media Player Classic - Save Thumbnails\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dotcomunderground.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/09\/media-player-classic-save-thumbnails.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This brings up the <strong>Save As<\/strong> dialogue box.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image384\" alt=\"Video Thumbnails - Thumbnail Settings\" src=\"http:\/\/www.dotcomunderground.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/09\/video-thumbnail-thumbnail-settings.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Note the thumbnail settings. This determines the size of the thumbnail page and how many thumbnails will be generated.<\/p>\n<p>The above setting shows there will be 4 columns and 4 rows of thumbnails totalling (4&#215;4=) 16 thumbnails. And the thumbnail page width will be 1024 pixels.<\/p>\n<p>Now lets change the setting to have 6 rows and 5 columns of thumbnails totalling (6&#215;5=) 30 thumbnails.
