A worm is targeting MySpace users, compromising their "About me" pages and infecting visitors to them, Symantec has warned.
When a logged-in MySpace user goes to another member's "About me" page affected by the ACTS.Spaceflash worm, they are quietly redirected to a URL that holds a malicious Macromedia Flash file, the security company said in an advisory on Spaceflash Tuesday. That file, in turn, will replace the visitor's own "About me" page with one that is compromised.
"It's an annoyance, at this point, for users, but the capability exists where it can lead to malicious actions and steal sensitive information," ...

If accurate, this means that users can access the Skype VOIP network without using the Skype client - calls could be made through third party software directly to and from Skype users. A Skype-compatible client may be available by the end of July.
The reports are also suggesting that the new software will not support Skype’s super node architecture, meaning that users will not have the resource drain that often comes with running Skype. While this is great for the users of the hack, it could destabilize, ...

Microsoft has announced to offer Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 for FREE.
Download Microsoft Virtual PC 2004

They also announced a change to the Vista license related to virtualization: Customers who deploy Windows Vista Enterprise have the ability to install up to four (4) copies of the operating system in a virtual machine for a single user on a single device. Even better, nothing in the license requires that Microsoft Virtualization technologies be used - if you want to use a competing product as your Virtualization solution, you still get the four extra licenses for use with VMs.
