The Windows Live Messenger team has released the 14.0.8089.726 build of Windows Live Messenger 2009 (MSN Messenger 2009), which addresses vulnerabilities in Microsoft's Active Template Library (ATL) as cited in Microsoft Security Advisory 973882. The upgrade also comes with unspecified code fixes and feature enhancements.

Starting at 12:01 a.m. EDT on Saturday, June 13, you'll be able to choose a username on a first-come, first-serve basis for your profile and the Facebook Pages.

Did the emoticons (emo or emotions, what many of us call) of your MSN Messenger (Windows Live Messenger) stopped showing up?
Chances are that an upgrade has changed your emoticon related settings. To check out your emoticon settings go to "Tools > Options..."
