With the new Windows Live Messenger IM Control now you can allow your site, blog or social netwok profile visitors to send messege to your MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger directly from your site without the requirement to install or add you to his msn messenger contact list.
To get the HTML code which you can use on your site first go to the following url:
http://settings.messenger.live.com/applications/websettings.aspx
Sign in with your Windows Live ID if needed.
You should be on the "Setup" page. If not, click on the "Setup" link.

Now you can add a "add to your msn messenger" or "add to your windows live messenger" button to your Windows Live Hotmail, Outlook and other email signatures, Windows Live Space, or blog, and your friends and family can simply click your button to add you to their contact list.
To create button forst go to this url:

From this page you can choose a style, choose a color and the button text.
The button text option only allows you to choose from 4 options:
Connect With Me.
Click. Talk. Easy.
Add Me To Your Network

Are you unable to install Windows Live Messenger 8.5 Beta (MSN Messenger 8.5)?
Do your installation gets stuck at "Please wait a few moments while we get your computer ready for the installation..." ? The installer disappears and does not continue after this screen?
You can proceed with the following:
Make sure you have "show hidden files" set on your system.
You can set it by going to "View > Folder Options"
And select "Show hidden files and folders"
If you are on Windows Vista, browse to:
C:/ProgramData
And if you are on Windows XP, browse to:
C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data
Now delete the folders WindowsLiveInstaller and WLInstaller. ...

The latest version of Messenger Plus! for Windows Live Messenger (MSN Messenger), Messenger Plus! Live 4.23.276 has been released on June 5th 2007.

chat window (remember that support for this version of Messenger is still
beta though)..
